                    We have just returned to Australia after 2 months touring the UK & Ireland - we stayed at many establishments but consider "The Dutch House" in York to be the best by far in every way.  The presentation, cleanliness, quality of furnishings, location and hospitality of the owners surpassed the more expensive accommodation we rented in London, Dublin, Padstow, the Cotsworlds, Glasgow and Edinburgh.  We want you to know that we appreciated your efforts in making our stay in York so comfortable and memorable. Amazing Stay in York 5 Stars! "

We arrived at the Dutch house which is located right in the heart of the City however when you arrive at the Dutch House you could be in the countryside, you can have the best of both worlds at this accomodation. The accomodation was very homely and had everything you wanted for your stay. I travelled with my husband and our two friends, each bedroom is located on its own floor with en-suite in each room, so it also has the perks of a hotel but a living area downstairs for meals and drinks. I cannot fault this accomodation. We will most definately be booking again for 2012.

The Dutch house is very special, we think it's great could not be better for the Minster ,shops and pubs. We really wished we were staying longer and can't wait till we return at Christmas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in York at the Dutch House.The property is stylishly refurbished, with lovely furnishings and well equipped. The Champagne,DVD's and CDs were a welcoming touch. A perfect holiday home, all in all a wonderful holiday.

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time. It was a late booking so could have gone very wrong but we were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw the quality of the flat and the furnishings. The location is absolutely ideal as it's less than 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area and York Minster. We had our own private parking space right outside and we left the car their safely the whole time as we walked everywhere. The owner Colette was very friendly and easy to deal with. All in all a real gem in a perfect location.

After a hectic week has passed I thought I would take the time to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at The Dutch House. The house was beautiful and appreciated the attention to detail and the decor. The house was immaculatly clean too. We have stayed in numerous houses and apartments over the years (including 10 George Street in York) but we think The Durtch House was the best by far. We visit York every year and now don't think we would want to stay anywhere else. We appreciated the high quality and care taken in choosing items for the welcome basket and the flowers. I know these are small things but make so much difference to making a short break feel extra special. We also liked the well stocked cupboards which meant we never had to go shopping for kitchen foil etc - not something we find is the usual. Our daughter loved 'her' room and even helped to tidy it after her stay.
 
Thanks very much for making our stay so special and we hope to return soon.

Thank you for your recent hospitality during our stay at The Dutch House. We had a brilliant time and will definately be coming back, possibly for Xmas shopping!! The house was lovely and clean and you have refurbished a wonderful old house.

I am just writing to say thankyou for a wonderful stay in Dutch House last week.  It is a wonderful holiday property and you should be very proud of the restoration work that has been carried out.
 
It helped me and the family have a very relaxed Easter break in York, the children loved the house.
 
We will certainly be recommending the property to friends and family and hope to return to York soon.
